Description: While the Ventrue are often considered akin to royalty among the Kindred, the Nosferatu are very often cast in undesirable roles, untouchable sewer rats or skulking secretive informants. The Yagnatia turn Nosferatu stereotypes on their ear. Born in Russia of noble blood, they maintain that nobility even through the curse that makes them repulsive fearmongers, and have given the Ventrue in Russia a run for their money. Proud, terrifying and iron-fisted and possessed of a keen understanding of politics and social graces, the Yagnatia have emerged to take their place as kings of the night, not peasants.

 

Nickname: Boyars

 

Covenant: Usually Circle of the Crone. The Yagnatia cannot reproduce without a special Crúac ritual, so their adherence to the covenant is half tradition and half necessity. The female Kindred of the line have the potential to become a "Holy Mother" whom can bestow the blessing of fertility upon the Yagnatia's sterile blood.

 

Weakness: In addition to the Nosferatu weakness, the male Yagnatia have infertile Vitae. Before it's even possible for them to Embrace, they must receive a blessing from the local high priestess of the bloodline. This ritual gives them 24 hours in which to Embrace before the blood returns to its infertile state. The female Yagnatia do not suffer from this curse and are the ones who bestow the blessing upon their male counterparts. This act ensures a close bond between male and female Yagnatia and strengthens the clan.
